Qld: LNP to monitor Labor job promises with Jobometer

Liberal National Party leadership contender FIONA SIMPSON has launched a website she
says will ensure the Queensland government keeps its promise to create 100 thousand new
jobs.

The Sunshine Coast MP has launched the interactive site .. www.whereareourjobs.com
.. to keep score on Premier ANNA BLIGH's job creation pledge during the election campaign.

The site contains a "jobometer" that currently puts the number of jobs created since
the March 22 poll at minus-526 .. following sackings by BHP Billiton .. Australia Zoo
and G James Manufacturing.

The site also invites people to share their own job stories.

Ms SIMPSON .. along with Gold Coast MP JOHN-PAUL LANGBROEK and Clayfield MP TIM NICHOLLS
will contest the leadership at the party room meeting today.
