FED:Roxon confident hospitals data correct

Federal Health Minister NICOLA ROXON says she's confident the data fed into the new
MyHospitals website is correct .. but admits she can't look over the shoulder of every
doctor and tick off each operation.

She says information provided by hospitals to the online resource .. launched today
.. has been double-checked by the Australian Institute for Health and Welfare.

Ms ROXON says the government has implemented a robust reporting system .. using independent
and credible assessors.

MyHospitals marks the first time nationally-consistent performance data for almost
one thousand Australian hospitals has become available to the public online.
